Egypt, Eritrea, Somalia and Sudan Leaders Seek Regional Dialogue

The leaders of Egypt, Eritrea, Somalia and Sudan have called for political and peaceful solutions to conflicts affecting the Horn of Africa.

The leaders issued a joint declaration after meeting in Egypt amid escalating fighting in Ethiopia and the continuing war in Sudan.

The meeting comes at a particularly sensitive time, with Ethiopia accusing neighbouring countries of supporting armed groups involved in the renewed Tigray conflict.

The leaders also called for talks to end Sudan’s civil war.
