A Federal High Court in Lagos has issued an interim order restraining the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority from shutting down or interfering with the operations of the Dangote Petroleum Refinery.
The order followed a legal challenge brought by the refinery after a directive from the regulator concerning the loading and transportation of petroleum products from the facility.
The court’s decision temporarily protects the refinery’s operations while the wider legal dispute continues.
