Another 65 Nigerians are expected to return home from South Africa today, August 26, as the Federal Government continues to facilitate the return of nationals who want to leave the country.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the group will depart Oliver Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg at about 3:30pm local time aboard South African Airways.
They are expected to arrive at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos at approximately 8:45pm.
The latest return comes after another group of 83 Nigerians returned from South Africa last week.
The government has been working with private individuals and other stakeholders to support the repatriation process.
The development comes amid renewed concerns about the safety and welfare of foreign nationals in parts of South Africa.
