The Federal Government has approved projects worth about ₦540 billion to strengthen healthcare infrastructure in Nigeria.
The approval includes major work at the National Hospital in Abuja and the establishment of a national cancer research and treatment centre.
The Federal Executive Council approved the projects as part of efforts to improve specialised healthcare services in the country.
The upgrade of the National Hospital is expected to improve its capacity to provide advanced medical services and handle more complex cases.
